Photography by  Geoffrey Parker

Geoffrey has been a travel photographer since his first trip to Africa in 2005.  He started with a sleek Kodak dual-lens point-and-shoot, eventually switching to Canon and steadily upgrading since then.

Geoffrey has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Africa and works as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State.  He has exhibited in Jamaica and Albania, and currently lives in Tirana, Albania.

"For me a photograph is comprised of two elements: subject and context.  My favorite photographs depict strong, obvious subjects - generally persons - with just enough context to inform the viewer a little bit about him or her.  Some of the best examples of this are the pot seller (Jamaica) or the man playing dominos (Albania)."
